New collector? Begin your art collection by visiting our gallery. Talk to us about the diverse artwork we carry and the many contemporary and traditional artists we represent. Take your time. We can show you lots of different media and styles. Get a feel for what you like. And then, buy the piece of art you totally love.

Already a collector? Breathe new life into your current collection by adding new pieces to it, reframing it, having it properly installed, or just giving it a little TLC from one of our experienced conservators.

Art Purchases

We are happy to accept full payment for artwork at the time of purchase. However, many of our clients like the convenience of dividing their payments over time. So, we are also happy to provide two convenient payment options.

Option #1 - 12 Monthly Payments

The 12 Monthly Payments Option makes purchasing an original work of art a manageable part of your monthly budget. Artwork on a monthly payment plan is subject to a 10% interest fee. At the time of purchase, clients are responsible for the interest fee as well as GST and PST (when applicable).

We accept VISA, MasterCard, or American Express. We can also set up Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP). The funds will automatically come out of your account each month. It’s as easy as your YMCA membership (and you don't even have to work up a sweat!).

Option #2 - Leasing

Clients can choose to lease works of art for one, two, three, four or five years. Lease payments are based on 2.5% of the retail price. The lease may be bought-out on the first, second, third, fourth or fifth anniversary of the purchase.

As with Option 1, we accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Pre-Authorized payments (PAP). We can also set up Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP). The funds will automatically come out of your account each month.

Art Consultation

We are happy to consult with you about your interests in art whether you are looking to buy your first piece of art or are adding to an already established collection. We know it helps to see artwork in your own environment before making a decision. That's why we offer to visit with you at your home or office, take a look at your space, and make suggestions. We will even bring pieces of artwork for you to "try out". And no, the painting doesn't have to match your sofa.

On Approval

Sometimes you see a piece of artwork and know instantly it is the right piece for you. Other times the decision is not so clear. Taking home one or more pieces “on approval” and living with the art for a day or two can often help in making the final decision. This casual, “no strings attached” way of viewing art in the privacy of your own home or office takes all of the stress out of your purchase.

We can also make arrangements to ship artwork "on approval" to clients outside Regina. It’s as easy as building a box and calling Purolator for a pick up. Contact us for more details.

Picture Framing

Our experienced framing department, under the direction of our Preparator Michael Rankin, frames everything for the gallery as well as any custom work we receive. We specialize in original works of art, photography, documents, and prints. Our regular communication with conservators across the country means we are continually updating our skills in accordance with the latest conservation framing techniques. Supplied by all the major frame moulding companies, we use only the highest quality materials.
If you're looking for expert assistance in selecting materials, exceptional workmanship, and an exquisite end product, then we are definitely the frame shop for you.

Art Installation (Regina and Area)

So, you’ve just bought a new painting from the Assiniboia Gallery. Excitedly, you head home with your new purchase. Weeks go by . . . the painting is still on the floor, leaning against the wall because you don’t want to risk making a mistake and banging unnecessary holes in your wall. Or worse, you spend an entire evening hanging one piece and it’s still too high!
Eliminate all the frustration and take advantage of our installation service - free in Regina and area. With your new painting expertly installed, you may decide to move a few pieces around. We can do that. (see Art Re-Installation) You might even realize some pieces in your collection need reframing. We can do that too. (see Picture Framing)

Art Re-Installation

Do you have a painting that you want to hang in a difficult spot? Do you want to re-hang your entire collection? Are you moving and need to take down your collection, transport it, and then install it in the new location? Contact us about re-installing some or all of your collection. Then sit back as we do all the work!
Generally, the cost of re-installation is $100 per hour. Please contact the gallery to discuss your needs and we can give you a more specific estimate.

Website Purchases

Our website is a wonderful way to visit our gallery when you can't come to see us in person. New works are posted on the site as soon as we receive them. When you find a piece you can’t live without, just call us (306-522-0997 or toll-free in Canada 1-866-378-0997) or send us a quick email (info@assiniboia.com). We’ll get back to you right away and make all the arrangements for payment, framing, and shipping.

Art Packing and Shipping

An expertly packed painting or sculpture is an art in itself. If you're moving, shipping a gift, or mailing home a painting you’ve purchased at the Assiniboia Gallery, our framing department will expertly and artfully pack your piece. We ship to locations around the world.

Art Appraisals

If you're looking for art appraisals for an estate, insurance, or purely for interest's sake, please contact the gallery at info@assiniboia.com. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and if we are not able to help you, we will direct you to the people who can.

Art Restoration

We do not do any major restoration work in-house, but we can recommend where to send your pieces of art in need of cleaning and/or repairs. We can also take care of any necessary packing and shipping.

Artist Submissions

The Assiniboia Gallery represents artists at all levels of their careers. We encourage artists who are interested in representation to visit the gallery in person or via our website. Take a look at the quality and selection of work available. If you feel your work would be a good fit, please send us your application.
We thank you for your interest in the Assiniboia Gallery and apologize in advance if it takes several weeks for us to reply regarding your submission. We receive hundreds of applications every year.

Application Process:
