SHARRON LABATT resides on Echo Lake and has a studio in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. Graduating from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Arts and Prof. "A" Teaching Certificate, she took Fine Arts Classes from Lisa Streiffler, Jack Cowan, Ted
Godwin, and Clint Hunker at the University of Saskatchewan. She has attended Emma Lake Workshops by Louise Cook, Degen Lindner, as well as Tony Onley.
Sharron's works in oil, acrylic and watercolor are landscaped based.
Solo shows
include "Land Trails" at the Cumberland Gallery, Regina, May 2005 and in North Battleford, Sk June & July, 2006; "Uncharted" at the joe moran gallery, Regina, Mar/Apr 2005.
Group shows include "Qu'Appelle:Tales of Two Valleys" at the McMichael
in Kleinburg, Ont, the Mendel and MacKenzie Galleries in Sask. She was one of five finalists in the Western Contemporary Art Competition by RBC Investments (2001) at Harrison Galleries in Vancouver, BC.
"The Old Road" appeared in International
Art Magazine (2005).
Sharron's work is included in many private collections as well as SGI, Regina General Hospital, Saskatchewan Legislative Building and Ducks Unlimited.
She has completed 7 public murals; has been a member of the
Organization of Sask Arts Councils for 19 years.
