She studied fine art at Langara College in Vancouver and Okanagan College, Kelowna. After many years of painting with brushes, Bachmann developed a distinctive technique using the palette knife. Her contemporary semi-representational style is reflected in her poppy, still life and greyhound dog series. Her works are sold in Canada, the United States and internationally.
