Jacques was born in 1942 in Drummondville, Quebec. He chose drawing early in his life as a means of expression and creation. Basically self taught, art has been his passion for more than 30 years. Jacques was instrumental in founding an art studio in the University of Sherbrooke.He is especially interested in mountainous landscapes such as those of Charlevoix, the Saguenay and the Laurentians. Jacques is a true bard when it comes to portraying villages nestled along side a mountain, he possesses a vision of sublime simplicity.
