We are thrilled to announce that over the past couple of months, we have added two new artists to our family of artists at the Assiniboia Galery. Based in Alberta, Amy Dryer has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and has this to say about her work: "My gestural style – characteristic of German Expressionism – emphasizes the subjective expression of inner experiences. The truest picture of a moment – the figure of a place – occurs in a balanced abstraction of everyday perspectives. To convey this I combine line, form and colour to represent and yet slightly distort my subject matter. This creates a field of view that is both familiar and enigmatic." You can view several new landscape paintings by Amy on her artist's page. After admiring Frances Werry's work for many years, we are excited to now represent her work. Frances has a double honours degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Studio Art and Art History. Frances works on large oil landscape paintings from her studio in Regina, Saskatchewan. You can view several of Frances' new paintings on her artist's page. Welcome Amy Dryer and Frances Werry!
